Terms of Use

These are the terms on which you may use app.betterworldmakers.net. They are written to be read rather than skimmed past, and they are short because most of what people actually need to know is on the privacy and ownership pages.
What BWMN is
Better World Makers Network is a platform for turning described problems into researched, funded work. You can submit a problem, follow what happens to it, and — if you meet the requirements of a role — take part in the work itself.
BWMN is a work in progress and says so. Parts of the platform are incomplete, and behaviour may change between visits.
Using the assistants
The BWMN assistants are Google Gemini Gems and are subject to Google's terms as well as these. They produce drafts and questions, not advice. They are explicitly instructed never to give legal, financial, tax, investment, accounting or medical advice, and you should not treat anything they say as such.
Assistants can be wrong. Anything they find, price or describe should be checked before you rely on it, and nothing they surface is a BWMN endorsement.
What you must not do
- Submit another organisation's confidential material, or anything you are not free to share.
- Submit someone else's personal data without their knowledge.
- Misrepresent who you are, or claim a Work Statement that is not yours.
- Use the confidential reporting channel to make knowingly false allegations.
- Attempt to access accounts, projects or data that are not yours.
- Automate submissions or otherwise flood the platform.
Roles are earned, not granted by participation
Co-creator, Research Assistant, Domain Manager and investor roles each have their own requirements, and each is joined deliberately. Submitting a statement, being credited on one, or holding an account confers none of them. See Who owns what.
Some roles carry a minimum age of 18. Where a role has an age requirement it is stated at the point of joining, and it is enforced.
Money, tokens and funding
Where BWMN funds work, funding decisions are made through its internal gate and allocation process. Submitting a statement is not a promise that it will be funded, and a high score is not an entitlement.
PromiXo tokens and any internal balances are platform mechanisms for recognising contribution. They are not securities, not an investment, not a currency, and carry no guarantee of monetary value or convertibility. Nothing on this platform is an offer of securities or an invitation to invest.
BWMN is not a licensed financial adviser and nothing here is financial advice.
Availability, and no warranty
The platform is provided as it is. BWMN does not warrant that it will be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors, and does not warrant that anything an assistant produces is accurate or fit for a particular purpose.
To the extent the law allows, BWMN is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the platform. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death, personal injury, or fraud.
Ending your use
You can stop using the platform at any time and ask us to delete your account. What happens to work you already submitted is set out under Privacy — in short, your name comes off, the problem stays.
BWMN may suspend an account that is being used in the ways listed above. We will say why, and you can respond via the feedback channel.
Changes to these terms
These terms will change as the platform is built. The date at the top shows when they last did. Material changes affecting your rights will be highlighted rather than quietly substituted.
